So i am putting on a rear bumper that i bought off a dude and it is for my 64 chevy truck. It is a pain in the butt puttin it on straight.lol...Just wanted to share that. THe easiest things are so difficult for me. So imagine the more technical stuff. Man am I screwed. ahahaaaaaa!!

I was working on a power brake conversion on one of my 1966 C-10's with a friend of mine. After a few slipped wrench turns in a tight spot and a bump on the head or two while bleeding the brakes, my frustration began to become noticeable. My friend, in a very calm way, reminded me that "We work on these old trucks for pleasure". That comment stopped me in my tracks and made me think he was right.

After a few deep breaths, I continued with the project at hand. The brake conversion was completed without further incidence. I have often reminded myself of the comment my friend made when things don't seem to be going well. Sometimes, in the haste of getting a little task finished and the rig back on the road, we may get a bit aggravated, just remember to take a deep breath and enjoy your truck and appreciate it for all the pleasure it brings you.

And so reminds me of my battle scar... a 3 inch scar on the back of my right hand and wrist from a slipped wrench while working over my 65... I wear it proudly (also knowing more may be ahead lol)

oh yea i sanded that bumper down and got it on but befor i put it on i sanded it down and that darn sander got my right on my finger. Gave me a good cut. I laughed because i probably shouldnt have scared the pup with it...hahaaaaa

the bumper... since unless you have a full on shop and a crew of guys yer not gonna get the whole truck done ina a few days.
