Last air horn I had was back in HS and was off a Santa Fe locomotive. Loud was not the word and scared the hell out of folks but was a good laugh to a bunch of 17 year olds.

Where did you get those horns? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | got these from O'rellys,, about 40 bucks, like ever thing else the, horns are plastic, you can get them even cheaper, I think these will serve my purpose,,I believe the name on the package "BIG BOSS" and yes, they were made overseas(Italy), the old horn(Round)located on the firewall just did not cut it,,,,,,these aren't like the firetrucks that you hear but a lot louder then what I have...the package contains 2 trumphet horns, plastic tube(to cut)small metal compressor, bolts, nuts, and relay if you need it... you have to supply wiring,,your old wiring might be long enough depending on how long and where you mount it,, I think behind the grill is the best place, out of sight for sure and less water and stuff to get in....Fred Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 399 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 399 | Was thinking about air horns, and getting a partime job at O'Reillys just to see if I could get a discount..Being retired, all I do is work on the truck, and NO Joker I don't just tinker and drink beer..Well maybe sometimes..Got my dashboard done yesterday, so there..Going crusin today, and just so happen to have the first Canned Heat CD in the box..Steve | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | canned heat cd, is that country..............what do you think about me moving my after market horn button from my steering column to the floor, maybe close to my dimmer switch?? I suspose the next time your wife gives you a hint, it might be worth while to listen Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 | The horn and radio are connected together, ya lost me ?? but you're right about the wifey part ....
