My '49 GMC has a '54 Chevy 235 engine. There is nothing connecting the gauge and the sending unit so I am preparing to order a new temp gauge and sending unit from Jim Carter's. The gauge and sending unit are for a '47 thru '53 GMC (228 engine). My question... Will the sending unit / bushing fit in the '54 Chevy 235 head? TIA for any help.

Thanks for the info and the part #. If I don't get more responses I'll touch base with the American Classic tech folks. Appreciate your response.
