Well with the deck set in place it is finally starting to look like a work truck. I am in the roofing trade and this will be my daily driver.Can you picture it with ladders strapped to the back. The reason I went with 4 wheel drive is for weekend quad and camping trips, plus the odd fishing trip here and there. I can't believe all the different colors this paint lets out. it is a three stage paint. there is about 16 coats of paint sprayed on the truck

what ton load is it? This is the oen ya widened the front fenders on right?

I think she looks great!!! love the four wheel chassis. Too bad cause I needing a roof soon and you would be first on my list. I'm very happy you ARE going to drive her daily !!

The frame is a is a 76 GMC made for the Canadian army and is registerd as a 5/4 ton 4x4, it has a lot larger frame, and yes, the fenders are widend 4 inches each plus larger running boards. I am getting so used to fenders that i don't even notice it any more

I was thinking of buy a new GMC duramax (60 grand )
and it would be something that you have to take to the shop to fix. This way I enjoy my ride, can fix it myself, have air condtioning and there is no computer to give me problems later down the road. So when I am driving down the road honk and wave cause you will see the truck coming from a mile away

I gotta say again that your truck looks GREAT. I wanted to ask you more about the color you used. You said it was a three stage process. I looked that up and understand more about that now, thanks. Where did you get your paint? I'd be very interested in a blue variation of the same process? Thanks.

That truck looks great.. i'd be afraid to use it as a work truck, tho.. lots of hours of blood and sweat had to have gone into it.. and i've seen what old used roofing trucks look like!
