The problem is unless you mount the rack on the axle you have a bump steer problem, but if you mount the rack on the axle you have increased the unsprung weight, plus you have a challenge connecting the steering column to the rack.
If you want IFS but object to using a Ford product, you might look at doing a front clip, or a Jag or Corvette system.

He said that it worked great but i never tried it out because my truck seemed to drive as good as it should already with a stock box. I put disk brakes on my chevy using mustang two rotors and pistones. they had a chevy lug pattern on them so i could use chevy wheels. I bought a braket to bolt this on to the axle. I got the stuff from so-cal speed shop it all cost me less than $400 | | |
