Is an SM420 Transmission, an SM420 Transmission? Did they ever vary?
I just purchased on line, because of the great price, and am not sure of the year of it.
However, I have a 51 GMC Truck, long bed.
Will any SM420 work?
Need to know!

The bellhousing is separate from the transmission so you will not need it. If you put a want ad in the swap meet I'm sure someone can hook you up with a torque tube version.

Check the shipping might cost a bunch
to get to Colorado. I learned the hard way
Even if you can get one for free the shipping
will make it very expensive, them things
are heavy. Just my opinion

I work for FedEx, so uh.. .well that works out.
However, I'd like the closed drive line version, so I am not going to bid again on that transmission.
I am going to post a want ad for the transmission.
Other than the transmission itself, and the floor cover w/hole, are there any other things I need?
