Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 153 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 153 | I had the 53 gmc 1/2 ton on the rack today and noticed the drag link is frozen in a 45 degree angle and doesn't seem to want to pivot on the balls as I'm sure it should. is this a problem? do i have to replace the drag link? how big of a job is this? any help is appreciated as always. tony

It could be that it hasn't been greased in a long thime and it's gumed up. If your pivot balls ard not egg shapped and the internal parts look good, grease it up and put it back together. Hope this helps George | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 153 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 153 | 46forme, unfortunately it appears i have the 100-22 model 1/2 ton that doesn't have an adjustable drag link. i forced it back to neutral position, but it cranked itself back to the 45 degree angle cock straight away. hopefully, it won't pop off at an inopertuned moment! thanks for your help tony
