Guy,s/Gals, come on now there,s got to be more than one vendor/source out there for longbed replacement sides. Anyone got a link or site to go to.All i keep seein is 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton stuff :confused: thanks steve sr.

what yer lookin for is actually extra long bed parts, and there was very, very, very few made in the day, and waaay fewer still around and being restored - if you were a parts maker, would you invest in the time and equipment to make a part you may never even sell 1 of? and keep some in stock and get a number of distributers to stock, or even list them?

it's fairly recent that the regular long bed sides have become available - what you need to do is find 2 regular longbed sides [used, 1/2 or 3/4] and make what you need from the 2 - not hard, just a little painful, and waaay faster than lookin for a needle under the haystack!

I am doing the same thing. i have a 1 ton and making a bed for it. I'm using 2 beds to make
the bed for the 1ton. I will keep the flatbed on until then. I had the same problem finding bed long enough for the 1 ton.

I am assuming the 'one vendor' you are referrin' to is Mar-k - don't they make there various parts different lengths? I know they make the metal strips that go between the planks in custom lengths(the techincal term for this part escape me at the moment), so it would stand to reason they make the bedsides longer also.

However, the cost of shippin' certainly wouldnt' be cheap.

It might be cheaper/easier if you took yer beat up bedsides(if you have them) or get the specs somewhere and find a metal fabricator in yer area to fab some up for you.

The bed side itself is so long, with the bend and roll in the top - then the stake bed hole boxes, but that is only if you want them on there.

Anyway, it is an idea.

OK fellas thank you all for the reply,s. i under stand they are rare , but i was just trying to weigh out all options avail. i have my complete bed although pretty far gone,but i recall seeing a site that made these sides complete with the 4 pockets and angle strip all welded up for about 400.00 per side. problem is i cant find the site/web site. steve sr

what year truck are you looking for 3/4 or 1 ton bedsides for anyway? I'm guessing it is an AD truck?
