Mine was missing! I want to get a new one for my 50, 3100. Do I need to buy the center retainer? I don't want to spend the extra $25 dollars to find out I don't need it.

You have to have the center retainer. Othewise your liner wont stay up.

I used my old liner as a template and made my own liner out of thin sheet metal. I will never have to replace it again.
