I'm considering this for my 53. The center chrome is quite attractive, but known for leaking. Comments would be appreciated. Obviously the one piece is more expensive compared to 2 piece.........

I think it would look good on a Hot Rod truck.
A stock truck would look better with the split trim.
I have a friend with a '54 Chevy and he stuck a stainless trim piece down the middle of his one-piece windshield for a better "Old Look".

Properly installed, the center is no more likely to leak than any other part of the windshield. In fact, I have seen more leaks in the lower right and left corners of the windshield than in the center.
