Made a trip to the wrecking yard yesterday to get a tank from a '71 Blazer I knew was there. Wanted a tank to go between the frame rails on my 62 c-30. I've got all the bed wood stripped off right now (it was all rotten and there wasn't much left to begin with) and it seemed like a good time to put the new tank in. The Blazer had a trailer hitch underneath the tank and I didn't feel like pulling that off but I found a 62 2-ton that had a whole bunch of stuff I needed. Plus they had a windshield (never even been installed...brand new) for my 62. I ended up leaving there with the windshield, an instrument cluster (with oil pressure and amp guages, etc.) a headlight switch, and the entire driver's side door ( I needed so many parts off the door the guy said, "How 'bout I just cut the hinges and you bring me back what you don't want?") And I got it all for $150. But I still don't have a gas tank. Sound familiar?

The only thing more amazing than my ability to cram 60 minutes of work into a 9 hour day is my talent for making it look effortless!
