no it's not an old video game, it's a movie. i bought the c.d. before one of my many surgeries and the player took a dump. got a new player yesterday and watched the c.d. today. besides john wayne, it stars a late 40's early 50's stovebolt. sort of interesting considering it's right hand drive. i think it's the only one i've seen set up that way. the crank out windshield i figure was not oem.

good action shots of a stovebolt tearing down unpaved roads and jumping gullies and running through creeks. all the stuff we would never consider doing with our rides. the old truck sure took a pounding and didn't let up. somebody put a 64 or so bed on it, but the cab and axles were unmistakeable. that was an old bolt.

That is a great movie. One of the Bolters sent it to us about 5 years ago. It took us about a year to get around to watch it. Then another year for me to mail it back to him. Unfortunately, I put the wrong tapes in the jacket.

That was likely a GM Holden truck (not a ute!) from Australia, hence the RHD. Right-handers were also exported from the US and Canada from the early '30's to the late '70's, so it could be that, also. American car makers were busy building cars in South Africa during this time, as well, so the source could've been any of them. With the flip-out windshield, though, my guess is an Aussie truck.
