For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 119 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 119 | Hi folks,I bought a '66 GMC 3/4 ton for restoration 2 years ago, and it's just about done. The problem is that when I bought it, the transmission shift linkage was missing, (I need the part that goes from the frame to the transmission.)The truck has a powerglide automatic transmission with a 305-E V6 motor that has been completely rebuilt. I made a part for this but it shifts poorly because I don't really know what it should look like. Anybody out there with any info on this part or where I could buy one would be greatly appreciated. All the trucks like mine have the standard trannys, or are all parted out. Can't find any car linkages like this either.
