is there much diffrance between the look of a 207 and a later stovebolt.is there a site with pic of the motors.

I think there are exterior differences in the head both on the ignition side and the manifold side. I will have to do a little research on that. Also, the 216 has the oil distributor valve which was an improvement, I just don't know if the early 216s had them.

Take a look at my 35, The one that is in the car is a 207 and the red one is a 54 235. I think you can get kits to have the bolts come through the valve cover and use a 216 valve cover. There is size differences in the engines though the 207 is 1.5 inches longer than the 235.

I have had a dissussion with a engine swap on the 207 to a 235.
