For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 | I've got my eye on a '70 GMC, short bed, 3 spd manuel, with a six, new bed wood and new "RED" paint. I'm gonna try to see it this wkend if it's still up for sale. I've seen pix of it and it photographs well. Seller says it's got "new" brakes. I narrowed him down to new hoses, mc & front w.c.'s. He's askin' 4,500, and says it's worth much more. I don't have any experience with a newer 'bolt like this. Thanks, Jacques

In #3 $7680. Less 20% for 6 cyl. engine. The guy that wrote the book doesn,t buy em. I,ve got a 70 Chevy stepside I bought for 3900. I just love it. Best running, driveing truck i,ve ever had. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. But here's a site that might help you see what some estimated values are: http:/www.vmrintl.com/ Their prices aren't hard and fast rules, but it'a a fairly good starting point. You'll have to decide what condition it's in. hth, | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 208 | Thanks for the tips guys. I'm hopin' to find one like this if I don't get it to use as a daily driver to replace my '86 Ford longbed. One good thing is that it's located in drivin' distance. Thanks again. I'll let y'all know what I find out about it if I get to see it this weekend. Jacques
