For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 | Finally got the engine on my 69 to light up last night. Didn't have any help, so I shut her down instead of trying to do the cam break-in alone. Will have a helper tonight. Now I will have to fit and paint the fender and get all the front end wiring connected.
Wrecked her last March, tore her down in Sept. Maybe I can have her back on the road by the end of March.

Had the gauge panel out and now the gas gauge doesn't work and the temp gauge is pegged out. Stuck thermometer in the radiator water, it was cylcing at 150* and 160*. That XE268 cam is a bit lumpy, when I pulled her back into the garage I was power-braking at about 1,000 rpm, and could feel the cam. Dang, she's sweet.
