...But I like my creature comforts.

So I just scored a pair of ~95-98 Dodge Ram truck power mirrors & mounting brackets for $20.50 on ebay & $15 shipping

Ebay Item 7955939822

A few weeks ago a friend of mine and I were talking about how similar the mirrors looked between his lifted '97 Ram and the mirrors on my last truck (a '72 C10). Except his were power and mounted a little differently. Found a cheap set on ebay and bid on them

So I'm going to rig up some way of mounting these (hopefully reusing the GM mounting bases/bolt holes) and figure out how I'm going to add a joystick to my dash and wire these babies in.

The auction says theres a couple small spots on the chrome, so I figure once I get everything figured out and drilled/modified as necessary i'll strip the electronics out of the mirrors, scuff up the housings with sandpaper and powdercoat them onyx black to match my headlight doors on my '72 Cheyenne.

Should look almost exactly like the factory mirrors from the 67-72 pickups, except that these will be power

Sounds like a good plan, Kris. Go for it!

As for making any purists mad, well I consider myself a purist. The only way you could make me mad is if you did that to MY truck smile As it is, we're glad you're having fun and making your truck the way you want it (and to heck with what the rest of us think wink )

Regards,
John
