#17799 02/09/2005 5:54 PM | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 | 400 in-lb divided by 12 = 33 ft-lb. Set your wrench to 35 ft-lb. Turn the drum while tightening so the bearings are seated. I usually will tighten once, back off and repeat the turning and tightening step. The back off 1/12 to 1/6 of a turn to insert the cotter pin.
