On the door it said Electric Test Vehicle - University of Victoria. Was thinking it would be neat to have that electric motor in my 49. I don't need the hot rod rumble and I don't drive it long distances. Wonder if I could volunteer my truck! In Europe they put diesel engines in these old trucks. In Canada some people convert them to natural gas. It seems that electric is just another avenue to be explored.
I want to see the first old truck hybrid.

Been watching the local papers as well as the internet for a good deal on a used electric vehicle to get the pieces for the project. I think an electric truck with a 50's SciFi theme would be great.
