I tried engine degreaser and it works a little.

#17496 07/15/2002 1:30 AM | Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 504 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 504 | I have always had the best results by trying to scrape off the caked on grease with a putty knife and a wire brush. Unless you use high water pressure, de-greasers will not remove caked on crud.
Get the heavy stuff with the putty knife and then follow with the de-greaser.

Dont laugh , It works. But be forewarned it will take off everything, I mean everything off. Including nice shinny paint. Do not get this on your paint! Good Luck Ed | | |

Easy-off is cheaper, though...........it's just kerosene and lye..........  Don't get any of the above mentioned products on your hands, it will eat them up big time!
