The rear gap is about 1/8 inch and the sides look good but the only way I can latch the hood is to push back pretty hard and then its a trick to get it to release again. I can't see any adjustment for the front plate and latch. | | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 | I got a shop manual from Chevyduty for mine and it has a page of instructions on adjusting the hood...It's all in the hinges and support arms.you leave a couple of bolts loose until you get the hood squared up then tighten all down...the book is worth it's weight in gold...

One on each side to tighten or loosen the bolts and one in the front to push it back toward he cowl. Another idea is to check the play in the hinges. Sometimes there is too much slop and you cannot get the hood to fit no matter how much you adjust. If I recall the latch plate is on elongated holes so it could be adjusted a bit. I put a scribe mark on the shrould so I could see where I was adjusting it. | | |
