Hello,
I put a front disc upgrade kit on my 49 1/2 ton GMC, and a rear end from a 77 GMC with drums. I want to go power brakes and want to know the best route to go? I see you can buy a master cylinder with booster that bolts right into the stock position and allows you to use the stock pedal. They mention though that you might need to replace the transmission member. I already have a small block V8 and the tranny from my 77 truck in the truck. Is this tranny member going to get in the way? Thanks.

K -- If you do a search up there in the menu for "power brakes," you'll see there have been a number of trucks in the gallery that have added power brakes to their Stovebolt. If you don't get a response here directly, you might want to contact them -- hence the email address and forum screen names on their gallery pages.

That may help.
