when i was a kid my Dad had a 50 chevy truck it had a turn signal bolted to the back of the cab it was a arm a string came in that you pulled it would go straight out for left and straight up for right turn it may have been lighted are these still legal for the road i havent seen one in years but would like to find one for my truck

kevin my 50 chevy is at the same point as yours only my motor is back in i need to do a little to the cab and i havent done the brakes or king pins yet

ya just went over to my shop today were cleaning it up switching from a wood shop to a hotrod shop that truck is so nice ill take some pictures soon all parts came from obsolete chevy the frame has a lowering kit with a cadilac rear & 4 wheel disks new craigers and big wide tires 383 motor fully dressed alum. radiator glad i wasnt the one that spent all the money on it its even got chrome shocks and springs dual brake cyl and tons more stuff i realy scored on it on ebay the pictures were bad so no one bid on it but me

We don't use signals up here. We merely use our cell phone to call someone to say we are turning.

when i was driving my 50 4 or 5 years ago,,i used hand signals,,(no blinkers on truck)when i was turning right i put my left arm,out the window, up,,the crazy thing about it,,someone walking,,thought i was waving at them,,and they waved back..lol,,i was just being thoughtful.. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
