| | | | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 331 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 331 | I took the glass out of the metal frame the other day and on the top edge of the glass that goes into the metal frame there is a rubber channel and on top of the rubber a strip of felt. I would like to replace these but have had no luck finding these pieces in any of the vendors. Any suggestions

Jim Carters or Chev's of the 40's got it.
Look under "glass setting tape"
It comes in 2 thicknesses, so if you get the thicker one, you will not have room for the felt.

Then is there a window channel around door that it fits into? If so the rubber seal you are looking for is hard to find. I used a lot of silicon spray and softened mine. Yes the glass does fit into the metal frame, but first it fits into a rubber channel with a felt strip on top of the rubber. I think that i will clean mine up also as I am having a hard time locating this | | |
