There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.

Thanks, Luke. This will be a good one, provided Cletis is wrong. The eastern 2/3 of the US will be in prime viewing territory.

Do ya'll use a different calendar in Georgia grin :p ? Up here in Kentucky, Halloween is always on October 31, not the 27th.

OOPS! My bad, I just realized you meant "too bad that is not occurring on Halloween." That would be cool!

hooray! The rain quit just after dark and the clouds cleared just as the eclipse started. What a beautiful sight. To top it off, just after it became fully eclipsed, a meteorite streaked by it. Waiting for it to lighten back up now.

I hope someone got pictures. The sun peeked through the clouds for about an hour in the late afternoon, then we were socked in again. frown

Cloudy this morning, and used the wipers on the way to work. Tonight clear sky and great view. The total is over and now we see a sliver of bright moon and the rest a pale orange.

From this part of the country things like this almost always happen on rainy days, so this was special.

Here the clouds blew back in just after the light started hitting it again. I can't complain about that. Last year the clouds cleared about 10 minutes after it was over. I got to see most of it this time.
Tony, we didn't get much. Mostly drizzle.

I was able to see just a few minutes of it as it was almost total, then the fog blocked the view frown

It was nice. We went out with the twins. It was clear as a bell with stars everywhere. A bit chilly, we needed a jacket, but heck beautiful weather. grin

I started watching it in shorts with no shirt. Some time after it was fully eclipsed I went in and put on a T-shirt.

For a minute there I was afraid you were going to say you added a second moon to the scene. grin
