I also have a straight column out of a 72 GMC pickup that I could use for parts. Any pointers from someone who has done this swap would be a big help. I had ti shorten the bottom part of the steering shaft a little. The wiring was not hard but time comsuming. Don,t believe those that tell you that gm always used the same color of wires for the same functions! Really its not that hard of a job. Some include ignition onthe column while others do not (these are rare and valuable). Many of the aftermarket columns use this design. Go for it! | | |
