You guys think that a re-build will fix the problem or is a new carb the answer? (The 235 w/ 1B Rochester was very rich before and I couldn't get the soot of the plugs) The truck had sat in my Dad's barn for 3 years before I had it shipped out here. Thanks for your help in advance.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure that you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

They have a bad habit of throttle body wear, and allow air to suck in where they shouldn't.

A "rebuild" will not generally include re bushing the throttle shaft, as it didnt on mine. I was able to locate a complete used "throttle body" (the cast iron bottom part, that the shaft is in) from one of the vendors for around $20.00 plus shipping. I'm figuring you cant get one rebushed for that, but then again, I couldnt find anyone that was willing to do it at all in my neck of the woods.
