Where are the window stop bumpers located inside the window mechanism?
1951 Chevy 3100 Pickup.

There spot welded inside the door about half way down.
If you look at the inner door you should be able to see 4 spot welds that hold it.

I am refering to the "rubber" window stop bumpers that can be purchased from the suppliers. They are about 3/4" square with a tapered nipple on the back side for fitting into a hole (much in the same way as the hood or door bumpers do).Any ideas?

Will - number 9 in this diagram , so it hits the glass assembly when cranked all the way down

The '50 stop is different than the '51 Wilber because the regulators are different and the window is smaller. The stop is on a 4" square bracket on the '50 easily reached through the bottom access panel and its located on the regulator arm on the later ones again should be accessible through the panel.

I am not sure about the answers provide? Let me clarify my question.
I am wondering where specifically the small square rubber window stops (bumpers) are installed insde the door regulator assembly of my 1951 truck. The rubber stops can be purchased in most parts catalogs and are the items mentioned in Extreme Gangster's diagram. They have a small tappered nipple (plug) on their back side to fit within a hole similar to door or glove box bumpers.Do they fit to the window's lower metal track? on the regulator arm? or maybe on a bracket welded within the door assembly? Gotta be a pre drilled hole for them there somewhere????

There's a bracket spotwelded inside the door.With the regulator out, you should see it.

Will, you don't have to disassemble anything other than removing the lower access panel. stick your arm inside and feel around, there is a hole or an old bumper right where the arrow points in the link that Bill posted if it is a '51 door. If you don't have the vent windows than someone switched doors on ya and it would be in the bracket that Wilber, Bob and I mentioned earlier. And again, you can reach that easily also from the access hole and feel the old rubber or the hole in the bracket if its missing.
Also a good investment might be in a flashlight and inspection mirror or stick your digital camera inside there and snap a bunch of pictures so you can see what it looks like inside!

I've got the bumpers but I've not located the holes... I've got to get a flashlight!

I wasn't kidding bout the digital camera Virginia, it works great for getting a real good idea of what the inside looks like. You become the incredable shrinking man, able to crawl inside the door. I also took a few dozen under dash photos so I could sit at the computer and figure out what needed to be done there, beats standing on your head for an hour and trying to remember it all.
