The fasteners are 'snaps' not screws, and they don't seem to want to fit into the holes in the door. Is there any magic for inserting these? I feel like if I push too hard I'll break the things.

I bought 1953 model washers and screws and I will thread insert the holes to accept the screws. Very simple.

He used a big pan head so he did not have to use the cup washers....Oh man! You can buy all types of thickness and special types. Do a google Mc Master-Carr and look for rivets you will see what I mean, they have the tool and rivet nuts.THANKS, Steve | | |
