Been carpeting the 53 last 2 days. Tried using industrial strenth velcro to secure to the floor and firewall. Stuff works great. This is the type with adhesive on both sides. Used it in the corners, and top of the firewall. Can remove it by just pulling it apart. Found out you can't glue it to the jute backing though. Must go directly to the back of the carpet. Holding power of the adhesive to strong for the jute. Bought it at a fabric store, by the yard. Not cheap, but a lot less messy than glue. Plus you can re-adjust the carpet to get out any bumps.

Was wondering how wide it was....assume it is on a roll? Sounds like it might have some other uses also.

About an inch and a half wide. The sales person cut it off a roll to the size we wanted. I bought 2 yards worth. I think it was $7.00 a yard.
