Also, is this bushing installed from the top or from the bottom of the steering column?? I see there is a tab projecting from the inside wall of the steering column. Does the bushing sit on top of or underneath that tab? Tnx. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,195 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,195 | The bushing goes in from the top with the brass horn ring facing up. On the 1/2 tons the column has a smaller diameter place where the bushing fits tight in to. The small tab you see is what keeps it from going all the way through. If you don't mind me asking, which vender did you get that from? They all quit selling them for awhile and I had to make mine from hardwood. I soaked it in oil for a week and its still working OK, just a little loose. Joe | | |
