The original interior color is called "fawn", there is 2 different shades of fawn. The first color of fawn is for the '60-'62, and the'63-'66 trucks fanw is a another shade. One is a little lighter than the other, I can't remember which one is lighter or darker. :o
I do know a guy off of another board I visit, and he had bought the rattle can fawn color, and he redid the firewall on his '66, and it looks awesome!! He's over on Chevy Talk forum in the '60-'66 trucks page, he goes by the handle "Hilandr451".
There's another guy their too that redid the whole interior the same color on his '65, I believe his handle is "Chevrolet65".

I have not had a chance to start work on the interior. Had to have the heads redone so I'm working on the engine compartment now. I guess I'm going to get it running correctly first then start on the interior.

| | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 887 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 887 | As far as getting the paint into an rattle can- If it doesn't require activator/harnder NAPA or your local paint store can put it into a pressurized can for a few bucks. When you mix paint with those ingrediates it begins to degrade immediately and isn't usable after a short while. If it does require that stuff, you can buy either a "perval spray system" refillable aerosol can.
Both are available at Harbor Freight and other vendors.
The Perval system uses disposible cans of comressed air that screw onto a jar that you put the paint into. The tops of the disposible cans have regular rattle can tips and that connect to the jar via a tube from the jar that plugs into a gasket at the bottom of the disposible can.
The refillable areosol can has a screw off lid and an air fitting so you can put the mixed paint into the can, pump it full of air with any pump=hand pump, compressor, gas station's compressor..., and then paint with it. The refillable aerosol can comes with extra tips.
Both work fine.
