When I bought my '41 3/4 ton there were just a few items missing. At the lower center of the dash were 4 round holes made for mounting things. One had a fork truck ignition switch (now replaced). The next a broken choke knob. The third was empty but fairly easily determined to be for the throttle cable/knob. It is the last that has me stumped. The only reference in the owner's manual says auxiliary switch. All the photos on all of the sites that I have looked through do not show enough to ID it. Does anyone know what belongs in that last hole??

I'm not sure about others but that's where my heater switch is. It fits through the dash unlike some that clamp beblow the dash.

I'm going to make an assumption that your 41 and my 46 would be awful close, if not the exact same. There is at least one picture (pg. 2 I think) of the interior of my 46 in the link below my signature.

Mine are as follows (left to right):

Ignition switch, throttle, choke, cigar lighter.

Ignition, Throttle, Choke, Lighter.
As in the case of mine and most others, the lighter was an option in those days and a chrome push-in cap was installed.

Thanks for all the help. No lighters needed here, maybe a dome light or heater switch. (when I get that far)

My '40 has a lighted, rotary heater blower switch in the far right position.

Nice looking truck, I'll need to get a heater before thinking about a "lighted swithh"
