I will never be able to afford to try and restore this truck to "original-type" condition, so I'm just going to build it to suit my own tastes.
I really don't like the bench seat that's currently in it, and would like to put in bucket seats when I can afford it.
It's a 67.
How much trouble is it to install bucket seats? Where's the best place(s) to find them?
Also, I don't necessarily need a center console, but it would be nice. Shoot, I can build my own out of oak or something if I have to.
I just think I'd prefer buckets over the bench.

I ended up with (gasp)
ford astrovan rear buckets in my 62. leather for about 50 bucks. will look for the matching console later.
the thing you have to look at is finding somthing the right height. Pickup seats are higher than car seats and you haave to build a adapter to raise them. If you look up 'rides like a truck' in the dictionary you'll see my truck. The seats made it a whole lot better. Plus they have fold down arm rests. Really nice on the longer trips. I don't need anything fancy. I just prefer buckets if I can get them and make them work.
I'm not sure how much I'll be working next week. If I'm off any next week I'll go to a couple of salvage yards and see what they have.

The nice thing about your truck is that factory buckets were an option. I once and a while see factory buckets for 67-72 Chev trucks. Easy to put in. Right height already. Would be the way to go if you can find some, if you are in no rush you might be able to. Just a thought.
