In my 64 the PO had put some bucket seats in. They are ugly, they sit way to tall, and my truck can only hold two people. So I want to go to a bench seat. I still have the gas tank behind the seat, that is where it will probably stay. I don't need power this or heated that, I just want room for one more person. I don't care if it is original or modern. I have a factory bench in my 60 that I could remove, fix springs (is that possible??), and get re-upholstered. But is it worth it? Does anybody have a good suggestion for a bench that would fit pretty good? thanks alot!!

i have to do the same thing to mine cuz the previous owner i guess decided to put bucket seats in. any suggestions for a bench seat that would fit a 64 stepside?

Just picked up a 95 Chevy truck seat. Bench with headrests and a fold down armrest for $30. Dropped it in place and it looks like it was made for the truck. The front bolt holes even line up.

Yes, 1/2 ton regular cab seat. The back tilts forward also.

No, I think the integral belts started around 2000 models.

I saw another seat a guy put in a 54 that looked good, it was a 04 impala , it had a built in flip down arm rest with a cupholder,and he took the headrests off.

UPDATE: okay so I went to a wrecker and found a nice bench out of a 90 chev halfton regular cab. Brought it home and put it in. Fit good. thanks for all the replies.
