Even beat up ones go for about $50 even without the sleve/holder. Anybody know the story around these? Just curious.

The green part lights up (oooahhh).  Lighters wear out, fall out, etc. Plus I think they were just for the Special Deluxe. I paid $50 for one in my 41 Sedan. I don't even smoke. In fact, its 6V so its not even connected. Nuts huh? But harmless compared to $1500 some people pay for a compass.... (Or how about those $300 restorable AD AM radios...) Jim
