The P.O. had some strange ideas that I have been working through. The hole in the dash is "approx" 7 1/4" x 2 1/4". Is this the original size ? Most newer radio faceplates are just 1/4" to small. Any ideas on what would work?
Also, What about Custom Autosound?

As long as the head unit will fit in the hole, they should be able to make you a trim piece to snug your unit into the dash. $20 or so for the kit...

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 151 Member | | Member Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 151 | Neat solution is cover the radio hole with a factory block-off plate (they often come up on eBay and maybe one or two of the specialist suppliers do them)and mount your radio out of sight in the glovebox. (Don't know where you'll put your gloves but here in CA that's not a problem...) Operate it with a remote. | | |
