Was a rear view mirror ever used in the 55.1 trucks? I have seen a few in earlier models and later but have struck out when it comes to finding a mirror for my 55.1.

I checked out Brothers and it looks like I would go with the 54 style the has a bracket that mounts above the center of the windshield and then the mirror that would attach to the bracket.

All in all with hardware around $50.00. I can live with that.

what was that scissor jack that was holding the truck up? I have never seen that before?

Very nice looking truck you have there.

I just bought a new oldstyle chrome arm and installed it. It has the scallop type look, real purty... I figured I'd put in a day/night mirror as this will be my daily driver but when the mirror arrived it has the threaded shaft that goes thru the arm with the bolt attaching on the end... the arm only takes a mirror that threads dirctely and not thru the arm... I haven't figured out what I'm going to do yet. The other problem I think I'm going to have is the new visors I installed my be too long and will hit the mirror.... nothing's easy.

That was a hydraulic lift that the body shop had. Not sure if it was there own invention, but I suspect not.
