Engine now has 1000+ miles on it and runs perfectly with no smoke or burning.

I am struggling to get my rings seated (different engine but piston ring sealing is important to all engines). | | | | | Joined: Dec 2020 Posts: 1,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2020 Posts: 1,953 | It`ll be fine. Just looking for all avenues.

Since then I've been taking short trips. 10 -20 miles at a time. 55 mph and 45 mph. Some speeds at 65mph. No stops for 5miles. Lucky I have some steep hills to climb in 1st and 2nd. Same to decelerate in 2nd. I`ll soon finish the 100-120 mile initial with the Penn Grade break- in oil. Drain and fill with SAE-30 and Lucas zinc. Additive. 500miles then and after SAE-30.
