Recently, our house has been invaded by a swarm of gnats- - - - -tiny, fast-flying little vermin that are almost impossible to swat, and they seem to be attracted to the place I sit and stir the pot on the internet! If you've never experienced one of those things trying to fly up your nose- - - -be glad! I just received an Ebay order of a high voltage bug zapper that uses a pair of blue lights to attract the little demons, and then vaporizes them when they fly into the electrodes. They make a VERY satisfying POP in the process!

Get a pair of the tennis racket style! Kill bugs AND stay in shape!

Yeah, looks who's talkin'! I leave my racket in the stand on my work desk. Nice little pile of dead gnats and mosquitoes around it, though.

Those tennis racket style zappers will probably miss 50% of the tiny buggers. They have to contact two wires to get zapped. But they do deliver a healthy zap, that I can attest to. My wife hit me with one a few years ago. She swears it was an accident. nono

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.

Gnatis peckeri. is the Latin name I believe. Very commonly found swarming around male dogs...
