RB - Not a lot showing on the web at the moment. There is one "Bowtie Bits" reproduction bare steel frame offered on ebay HERE with a not unexpected $$$ cost.
There are several of our regular vendors that list reproductions, but most say they are out of stock. The Filling Station lists Part RW-242 as a made to order reproduction unit. You have to specify when ordering if bare steel or chrome, with delivery and costs dependent on which you want.
I haven't checked through Facebook Marketplace yet to see if there's anything out there. I'll update if I find anything later.
PS - Do you have the windshield frame hinges? I recently picked up a set at a swap meet and would offer them if you are in need.

Dan, the reproductions are crazy expensive. It appears they recently went up in price even more, like everything else. I bought one at Hershey two years ago that the vendor told me was a '36 but it's not. It's a '37-'38. After I discovered that I was hoping to modify it to work, but I don't think that's going to be possible. I would need to shorten it and reshape some of the bends, and I think I would probably end up just ruining it if I tried.
The tie bar rusted away on mine on one side, so I took it off to fix that. Half of the mounting screws were rusted fast and broke off. The hinge screws were brass and two of them twisted right off. Both lower screws for the crank twisted off. It's got bubbling from rust in several spots and is an eyesore on an otherwise nice truck. As you stated, Filling Station and others are made to order, and they say 6 to 10 weeks, and that's if you want to pay the price for one.
Thought it worth a shot to see if anyone here has one.
I'll keep watching and add links should I find anything on the web. In the meantime, hopefully there may be a 'Bolter that has what you need languishing in a corner somewhere.

A little late to the conversation, just trying to help. The '36 low cab windshield frame has the same bottom as the '37 and'38, the top of the frame for the '36 is a bit shorter than the '37 and '38, so finding the top part will be a challange unless a reproduction is made, however if a reproduction is found it will also probably have the bottom part too. (The windshield is also a bit smaller than the '37 and '38.) Good luck in your search, Glen Andrews
Glen, you are correct, except I think you may have the two pieces backward. I believe it's the tops that are the same, and not the bottom. In the first picture, the one on the box is a '36, and the other is a '37-'38. In the second picture you can see them sitting on top of each other. The curves on the bottom pieces don't match.

RB: I based the reply on the information in the 1929-1942 Master Parts Price List, group 16.010 that shows part number 602132 for the upper frame for a 1936 low cab and part number 602498 for 1937 and 1938; and group 16.015 part number 602131 for the bottom frame for 1936-1938. The 1936 Low Roof cab is slightly lower than the 1937-1938 which is probably why it is so popular with the customizers-street rodders, as there is no need to chop the roof as chopping a roof is a lot of work. Back then maybe GM figured the 1936 Low Roof was too low so they retooled the roof panel for 1937 and 1938. Looking at group 16.585 there is a roof panel for the 1936 Low Cab listed as number 592514, and 1937 and 1938 is number 597902.
Well, I'm REALLY late to the conversation here. The complete '36 Low Roof windshield frame is about 1 inch shorter in the middle than the '37-'38. The top of a '36 frame is almost flat as compared to the '37-'38 frame which has a distinct arch or crown. I have trucks from all three years and have replaced the frames on both styles. The bottom corners are the most common spots to rust out. If your frame is solid, you will be time and $$ ahead to repair it. If and when you find a replacement, it is likely that it will need some love too.
