I just acquired a 1948 1 1/2" ton truck and it's missing the gas tank. Does anyone have a picture of one and does it mount on the inside or outside of the frame?

In my gallery there is a picture of my '47 with the bed raised up. See link below. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see the tank that it has. Hope that helps.

John L. - Here's a zoomed in screenshot of Rich'sToys '47 Loadmaster fuel tank in the first attached pic below. The second pic is from a repop of the 1947-54 Chevy Truck Factory Assembly Manual (FAM).

It applies to the majority of the 1-1/2 ton model trucks, with the tank mounted to the outside of the frame as shown in Rich's picture.
