It has permanently stopped ps leaks in two of my vehicloes for years.
As for stopping main seal leaks or others in an engine, I have never had success with any that I've used.

I've seen several rear oil seals replaced when the real culprit was a leaky side cover gasket or valve cover gasket near the back end of the engine. It's also possible, but very unlikely, that the core plug behind the camshaft can get loose and leak into the bell housing. Don't forget to inspect the fuel pump- - - -lots of them have a weep hole that can dribble crankcase oil and resemble a timing cover seal leak. Once you find the source of the leak- - - -fix it. Don't waste time and money on "mouse milk" additives!

Of course that will not help a front cranshaft seal, completely worn rear rope seal, but may possibly help on the rear. I took my truck to my local mechanic back in 2014 along with a new rope seal and the tools to replace it. He sent it back after pulling the pan and replacing only the pan gasket. No more oil puddles. Another area on a 235 to look at is the side cover ( valve lifter cover ). MIne leaked at the rear lower corner and the oil ran right down the side and dripped off the back of the pan. Sort of mimicking a rear seal leak. One old timer suggeted that if you didn't see oil on the driveway under the pan, you best check the oil level. I bought a drip pan at the local auto parts store and have it staged on the floor in my garage for the occasional phantom drip. Good luck on your repair.
