working on 53 3100, was removing m/c bracket and loosened nut for the pedal shaft and it pulled off threads. Not sure if someone before me had it cross threaded, but nonetheless it pulled threads off. Does anyone make this shaft? I have searched but have had no luck. This is the shaft that clutch/brake pedals pivot on.

Is that the Nut that goes through the frame and the other end goes to the bracket with the clip.

Unfortunately the brake and clutch pedal shaft isn't being reproduced. Good news is it's the same part found in ALL 1947-55.1 (1st Series) Chevy and GMC trucks, except for Dubl-Duti (Forward Control) and COE models.

It's listed in a Chevy Master Parts Book as GM# 3683044 Shaft, clutch and brake pedal (1" x 7-17/32" 3/8-18thd)

Suggest you post an ad in our Truck Parts Wanted forum. Fellow Bolters that may have converted their truck to firewall mounted master cylinders and others with possible extra's from a parts truck may be able to help you replace it quickly.

I may have the shaft that you are referring to. My truck is a 1950 3600 that had a 4 speed transmission if that makes a difference. I don't have time today but can get a picture of what I have tomorrow if that would be of any help. If I have what you want you can have it for the cost of shipping (I converted to a different drive train).

WICruiser - Just a note that the pedal shaft from your 1950 3600 w/4speed is the same as what he needs. To stick with the forum guidelines, please take further conversation on this topic via PM please and thanks. wink

IHPWR - Looking forward to hearing about your future success in resolving your damaged shaft repair/replacement. thumbs_up

FYI, to close this out my understanding is that he received the replacement shaft and already has it installed.
