I picked up one of these at HF yesterday. Its great! Nice, easily adjustable air volume, fits in my pocket, nicely anodized aluminum housing. They come in industrial or automotive style air connectors.

Looks like a neat item, does it blow full pressure? Seems OSHA in their infinate wisdom thought it would be safer to limit the pressure to about 35psi. Had to find a old one to really blow.

I hooked it up to 125 psi shop air and pretty much got the full whoosh out of it.

I have one of those as well, they are great, My quick connect will sometimes pop off though and it shoots across the garage.

Ed,

Would shooting across the shop be classified as a quick disconnect. wave

I'd say it's a really quick disconnect.

Why spend so much money. You can buy a barbed hose quick connect fitting for $1 that will do the same thing and fit in the pocket easier. I used them for years when I was a painter/bodyman and even at Boeing before they got safety minded.

Well, the nice thing about the HF one is that it has flow control- you twist the barrel and it shuts off.

I have an extra male quick connect fitting on my compressor connected to a valve so I can either use it as a draw-off valve or to fill my little 5 gallon portable air tank in about 10 seconds- far beats the schrader valve that came with it. If I hook up a regular air hose to it you could use it as a blower I guess.
