First, let me say thanks very much to all for the continuing support of the project. These will remain basically the same. You'll still get a new stainless steel screw and stainless internal tooth lock washer. The capacitors remain the same so you can still count on between 200,000 and 300,000 hours of operating time.
There is one thing I've mentioned before and I should repeat. The company who previously made the terminal pieces (the connectors) has stopped production and evidently is disinterested in resuming...at least unless an abnormally large order is placed. By abnormally large I mean a guarantee of $18,000 to $20,000 plus.
The change in design honestly won't matter...as you can see below with the test piece I've made, there is plenty of room without worrying about interference at all and I suspect it will be the same for other types of distributors. And the new connector could be mounted in a couple of different ways if clearance was an issue. But the connector is a difference and I want to be up front on that. This particular terminal (90 degree flag spade with #8 post) simply doesn't enjoy enough demand these days. If anyone has suggestions or ideas, please let me know. I am looking into making a similar connector, but there are $$$ challenges.
The only not-so-good news is the price is going to increase from $12 (which is what it has been since the start) to $14 each, delivered in the USA. The cost of every single thing has increased but none as much as postage (which has more than doubled).

For any newbies wondering about these, I have installed them in every vehicle in my signature line except the Ford trucks (those have factory electronic ignition).
They work perfectly and I no longer worry about ignition problems with breaker points. "Store-bought" condensers were failing on me in just a few hundred miles. In one case, the erratic ignition caused by a crappy condenser blew out the mufflers in the Galaxie.

Thanks! That is exactly what I've been told by others. Actually this project began in March of 2020, so it has almost been what...six years? Time flies. There was one major modification when it was discovered the capacitors I first got had one factor which didn't work as hoped but since then it has all been the same except for the addition of a copper band to hold everything in place more effectively.
About a year ago somebody asked if I ever tested these. I check almost every one. They are supposed to be within 5% of 22uF according to the maker. I haven't had one yet which wasn't. You can see one I tested this morning was at 21.7uF...which is ~99% of the value.

Pardon me but I’ve missed other msgs that probably address my following question: Are these condensers usable on 216 and 235 engines? What’s the part number and make of these condensers? Thanks
They're usable on all breaker point ignition systems on engines of all displacements. Jon G makes them in his garage.

Hope that answer helps. They look like this (actually the top and wire could be any color...I recycle wire and use whichever color of rubber is available and the least expensive). You get a new screw and lock washer and they install just like the original condenser.

I was one of the beta testers, I'll never go back to a fragile, undependable condenser on a point distributor as long as Jon is making these. I've got one on my '51 3600 6 volt truck and '64 CJ5 4 cylinder 12 volt Jeep. As a matter of fact, it just occurred to me I should order a couple more for further needs.

No reason they wouldn't. 6v or 12v doesn't matter.

I've got them in my '51 3100 (6 volt) and other half's '66 Chevelle (12volt). They provided noticeable improvement over any other condensers I've used and have been a blessing to have. Love not having to worry about cheap products and road strandings. I highly recommend them to anyone running a points style ignition system and thank Jon G again for these innovative things he does for our community!

I ordered and promptly received one of JonG’s condensers a couple months ago. Nice little unit! Truck runs great! Really good to see folks like JonG making quality parts in their garages!

I installed Jon's new condenser in my truck before my last camping trip which was over 3000 miles. In many years of pulling my camper trailer, 2500 lb, I always get about 11-12 mpg. This trip the average was 13.4 mpg, a significant improvement. i'm a believer. Thank you Jon
