I had a great opportunity recently to acquire what I think might be a pretty rare original 1918 GMC Model 31 1-1/2 ton Truck Parts Catalogue (2nd Edition), so I snapped it up to add to my ever growing Stovebolt Library.

I got it not just because I might have a thing for Stovebolt publications - LOL dang , but also because I thought it worth having as a resource for our community. grin

Here's a samples of the cover and some contents for your reading/viewing pleasure. Anyone interested in more information/pictures from the book can reply here and I will post specific answers to your questions.

One of the coolest things I discovered when first looking at the book was that it's stamped "Library General Motors Corporation Research Laboratories" which is clearly not part of the original printing. It also has an added label that appears to identify it as copy 2 (c.2 1918) in the upper left corner of that label and also has the hand written note "Dup" annotated.

The seller said it came from an Iowa estate sale. No idea how it got there, but I'm glad I found it and was able to bring it home. smile

I love those old illustrations. I have an "Audels New Automobile Guide" from 1944 that's pretty cool as well.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
