I am thinking about re-wiring the headlights on my 53, from the drivers side over to the passenger side, and replacing the terminal blocks. Wondering if 14g wire would be the proper guage for the lights.
Previous owner had the wiring ran in-front of the radiator top baffle.
Why use 14ga when you know you won't have any issues with 12ga?
I rewired my headlights a couple years ago (6v) and used 12ga for everything.

14 ga is specified in the manual. I'm a belt and suspenders kind of guy so 12 ga for me.
If your truck has been converted to 12v then 14ga won't be a problem at all.
