I just sold my '56 LCF w/ Powermatic with a spare trans to go with it...they are very hard to find here on the East Coast.

Any I have found are always to far away. And the one close was when there was a family emergency so. And that was some years ago.

I bet parts are harder to find.

There's a company that specializes in shipping engines and transmissions. I've used them in the past and thought a couple hundred bucks to ship a 1000 lb engine and tranny combo from Plymouth , Michigan to Atlanta, Ga was pretty reasonable.

I'll try to locate the contact information if you want.

Parts for antique automatics can usually be sourced from Fatsco , Northwest Transmission or Dave Edwards at .

Are you just needing the trans, or do you need the shift tower and retarder pedal linkage also?

What are you putting it in?

You really need to find a complete truck or a good donor, as sourcing all the little parts one piece at a time will be painful. If you go LCF then even the front sheet metal (upper & lower grille panels and grille bar) are different to accommodate the trans cooler which sits on front of the radiator.
