This is the current status of my 53 project truck. I took it down the highway just now and it performed great. Runs, shifts, and stops we'll and everything else seems to work too. I only work on it in the summer months, and I'm quitting for this summer. Next summer I'll get to the rear fenders and running boards, which both have rust holes in them, just like the rest of the truck did. There's light at the end of the tunnel.

Great looking truck Mike! I insulated my garage and added a heater so that I can spend some time working on my truck during the cold months.

I am sure it is a great feeling to get to the point in your project when you can take it down the road. I'm hoping to get to that pint myself this year before winter sets in.

I also have a heated work space so planning to defer some of the interior work until then and concentrate on getting my paint to be okay (not nearly as nice as yours looks), and other aspects required to make it ready for that maiden trip down the road.

You are being much more methodical and patient than I was with my โ€˜54. That will no doubt pay dividends when your truck is complete.

Mike Burns - you've made a lot of progress. I really like the color!
